AUTUMN COMES

Sandhill cranes prepare for their migration south.  This pair visited our yard all summer.

"Missy" is my newest yard star.  Her offspring look on cautiously as she snacks.

Sunbeams pierce the morning fog.
The lake level has dropped dramatically during this summer's drought.

Despite the low lake level, Canada geese still nest and thrive on its calm waters.

The shoreline is aflame in fall colors.

Buck whitetail deer, their antlers stripped of their summer velvet, begin to compare headgear.
