The Sturgeon Moon

I took this photo on August 19, 2024, at 9:06 PM. There was a lot of smoke from the Canadian wildfires in the air, thus rendering the orange moon, which gradually morphed to the more familiar white moon as it rose that night.

About Me

Bruce Henson: I was born in the wilds of northwest Wisconsin. I joined the U.S. Coast Guard when I was 17, and had a great career. After I retired from military service, I became a software developer for a large snackfood company, by way of a string of temporary positions to keep myself busy until I decided what I really wanted to do. Now I'm fully retired but stay busy writing and working in my woodshop.
